About the Role: Trainee Sample Preparation Technician - Rock / Soil Due to a big project win to support a major mining company, we're on the look out for more staff As a permanent member of our laboratory operations team, you'll conduct daily rock / soil testing procedures and collaborate with colleagues. Responsibilities: Perform rock core cutting, ensuring compliance with safety protocols including the use of masks. Conduct grinding of rock core samples with precision. Accurately measure and weigh samples, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail. Label samples appropriately for identification and tracking. Enter data into computer systems accurately and efficiently. Compile comprehensive client test reports with attention to detail and accuracy. Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment crucial for rock testing. Operate in a construction environment, emphasizing practical hands-on work over traditional laboratory settings. About You: Ideal for individuals in the early stages of their careers, including school leavers and those with limited experience, but open to applicants at all career levels. Happy with a pay rate of around $26 ph penalties for over 21 yr olds. Must be an Australian / NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or possess an Unrestricted Work Visa.
