Randstad is currently partnered with local government and private sector clients seeking an Accounts Payable Officer for a full-time ongoing opportunity in Geelong. Responsibilities include: Salary: Ranging from $75,000 - $80,000 Employment Type: Full-time permanent Location: Geelong Accounts Payable: Process accounts payable transactions, including raising orders, matching invoices, and managing delivery dockets. Collaborate with the Finance Manager to prepare vendor payments, ensuring adherence to agreed payment terms. Send remittance advice to vendors and handle their phone and email inquiries. Maintain organised filing of accounts payable documents to support reporting obligations. Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy of financial records. Train staff members on accounts payable processes. Complete credit applications and onboard new vendors. Assist with raising purchase orders and support team members with their purchasing needs. Offer general accounts and administrative support to the business as needed. What you’ll need to succeed: Experience in finance / accounts payable. Self-motivated individual capable of taking initiative and working autonomously with efficiency. Flexible schedule, willing to accommodate additional hours occasionally. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for debt collection. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Understanding of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
