Who we are: Stanley Driveways and Civils is a family owned and run road construction business, based in Southeast Queensland. We provide road maintenance services to local authorities and private contractors and pride ourselves on delivering a superior service and results to our customers and clients. To accommodate an increased workload, we are in the process of establishing another crew and have a vacancy for various positions in this crew. These positions are based in Brisbane and surrounding areas and are available for immediate start. The roles require both day and night shift and you will be required to work outdoors and at times in inclement weather. In general, shifts are Monday to Friday, but occasional Saturday and Sunday shifts may be required to meet Client demands as our business is a 24/7 operation. We are currently looking for experienced/qualified Fulltime Fitters(General) to join our team. The Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Play a key role in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes (journal entries, reconciliations, etc) Ensure tax and other compliance obligations are met Monitor, enforce and improve internal controls and financial processes and policies Preparing financial statements Assist in processing employee expenses Month-end close (including journals and balance sheet reconciliations) Assistance with project budgeting and forecasting assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies All aspects of fitting duties (Diesel) - Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs to trucks, plant machinery as required. Performing fault finding, repairing and/or replacing of components as required. Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines. Fitting and assembling metal parts to machines and equipment, including diagnosing faults, operational maintenance of machinery and repairing mechanical equipment and parts. Performing scheduled maintenance services. Qualifications and Experience: AQF Certificate IV or AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
