The Director will work closely with central agencies of government, other State and Commonwealth government departments and the non-government sector to achieve client outcomes. Key responsibilities As Director, you will specifically: • Provide high level leadership and management ensuring effective and highquality development and implementation of projects, strategies, policies, analysis and advice. • Lead complex and sensitive projects to support and inform strategic decision making. • Provide high-level support and advice to the Senior Executive Director, Deputy Director-General, Director-General, and Minister in relation to projects across the department. • Develop and maintain productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders to ensure successful negotiation on strategic project initiatives. • Represent the department at a senior level as required, including at interdepartmental and intergovernmental meetings and associated management committees. • Manage human, financial and physical resources, ensuring a culture of client service and performance management to build a high performing team. • Promote an accountable, fair, and safe work environment through the implementation of effective management practices and policies, including performance management, equal employment opportunity/anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
