Australia. - Transport and Main Roads: Regional Manager (Passenger Transport). Accountabilities include: The Regional Manager has three distinct roles: - State-Wide - assist the Passenger Transport Integration Branch in the consistent and timely delivery of state-wide projects/activities.- Regional - reporting to and providing advice to the Director (Regional Operations) on programme delivery and collaboration with peers on strategic issues affecting public passenger services in the regions.- District - Providing quality leadership, direction and vision to local business units to ensure consistent delivery of passenger transport programmes at a local level.This encompasses but is not limited to: - Manage objectives, budget, resources, people capabilities and issues relevant to the passenger transport program and deliver specific regional outcomes as agreed with the Director (Regional Operations).- Manage the frontline service delivery aspects of the business within the region and work collaboratively with the TransLink Leadership Team to achieve consistency in delivery of policies, processes and performance requirements across the state.- Manage escalated frontline customer service complaints from the general public including a full range of counter services for passenger and school transport products.- Manage a portfolio of public transport contracts across a region, ensuring that the delivery outcome is in the customer interest and reflects value for money and that consistent and accurate information on the delivery of services is always available.- Develop and maintain strategic alliances and effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local members and councils, to deliver viable, sustainable and effective passenger transport outcomes for the community.- Act as the regulatory authority to ensure that passenger transport legislative requirements are maintained, working collaboratively with regional Departmental Compliance officers, to implement negotiated state-wide compliance priorities, undertake reviews of complex decisions and provide leadership to ensure safe passenger transport services.- Contribute to Regional Operations and management, and the effective delivery of all TransLink strategic priorities across the region.- Motivate and encourage the development of an effective and professional team with a clear focus on the delivery of planned outcomes and the continual development of the capabilities and capacities of the individual team members.- Lead the management and reporting of significant events, natural disasters and other emergency situations including contacting relevant service partners and stakeholders.- Act in accordance with the Queensland Public Sector legislative framework and Code of Conduct. Model ethical behaviour, is consistent in words and actions, and is viewed as trustworthy and respectful of the views of others.This position reports to the Director (Regional Operations) and has one direct report.
